Unser Zimmer war in ...

Unser Zimmer war in Ordnung. Das Frühstück im Hotel kann man getrost weglassen, da es im Umfeld und fussläufig gerade in Soho sehr schöne und weitaus bessere Frühstücksmöglichkeiten gibt. Der Empfang war mit einer sehr netten Dame besetzt, die trotz ständig klingelndem Telefon nicht die Nerven verloren hat. Das Hotel bräuchte allerdings doch mal wieder mehr als nur einen neuen Anstrich. War aber für uns als Startpunkt für ein paar schöne Tage in NYC völlig ok.

The property was conveniently ...

The property was conveniently located in Chinatown with nearby tourist attractions, ample metered parking and plenty of food choices. Check-in took unusually long by the pleasant Front Desk Agent. For an additional $20 I choose to upgrade my room to a higher floor to avoid the noise - it's Chinatown. The room had a nice view from the floor to ceiling window and while on the small side, it was comfortable. The bathroom had a frosted glass door and wall panel which was nice. But all nice things come to an end! 1. The half bathroom enclosure caused water to spray onto the floor making it a fall hazard. 2. The ceiling outside the bathroom appeared to have had a recurring mold issue that had not been properly treated cosmetically and otherwise. 3. The lobby isn't as "grand" as it appears in the promo photos. In fact it had a weird layout in that it led into a bar/restaurant entrance. 4. Check out is at 12 noon which is better than many other hotels, but at 12 noon as I'm picking up my bag to walk out with my coat on, there was a tap on the door. As I opened the door and advised the employee I was leaving, he actually stood there for a few moments to make sure that I was. That was off putting to say the least. Overall, I enjoyed my stay but there are some things the property's management needs to address right away. I don't think I should spend $170 per night to have water on the bathroom floor, mold and mildew remnants and to be rushed out of the room precisely at checkout time.

We arrived at 2:30, ...

We arrived at 2:30, there are no staff at frontdesk. Fortunately the staff came back and processed our check-in quickly, but there need to be more staff hired, so there is always someone in the lobby.

Very clean and convenient. ...

Very clean and convenient. 2 blocks from subway. Phenomenal water pressure. Within the first hour a housekeeper accidentally tried to enter my room, but luckily I had flipped the lock. The first night I stayed in 901 and there was no hot water. After an hour they moved me to a different room that had hot water. Drink lots of bubble tea while you’re in the neighborhood. The hotel is clean and updated. Rooms have fridges.
