A pleasant stay overall; my sensitive nose noticed no weird odors and I slept well. The room was rather dark, even as a corner room facing southwest. Great views and nice balcony. The hotel takes a whopping THREE temporary deposits. Before checking in, there is a one-day deposit (deposit equal to one night's stay), which is refunded upon check-in. Then there is a $50 deposit that is refunded upon checkout. Then there is a third deposit equal to the value of total nights stayed, and that isn't refunded until a few days later. So if you stay and the bill comes to $1000, Wyndham charges $2000 to your card temporarily. The manager explained this to me, since there was no prior warning that it would happen. I was nearly stranded in New York.

Nice front desk staff, clean and comfortable rooms. We paid a little extra for the higher floor room and it was definitely worth it for the view. It's a great deal. Room automatically came with fridge, which is hard to find in the city.

Where to start....what went well with this stay??.....EVERYTHING! We arrived on a red eye from San Diego. By the time we got the hotel, it was only 7 am. Without issue, they had the room ready to go. The room we had provided KILLER views of the city, almost 360. Incredible. The staff was amazing, the room was incredible - exceeded expectations. The shower head was loose and we asked for it fixed, they installed a brand new one without delay. Tiffany, the front desk associate we saw daily was incredible. So welcoming, helpful and gave great food recommendations. I recommend EggShop, Maman and The Butchers Daughter, all close to the hotel. For coffee, check out the walk up coffee shop Blank Street. We didn't get a chance to try the restaurants on site but from the foot traffic Id say they were good. This will be my go to hotel when traveling to NYC!
