About This Event

Multi-disciplinary artist MV Carbon‘s Vanishing Incidents is comprised of three compositions that explore the process of disintegration, preservation, and reconstruction. Electric cello is processed through an array of pedals and electronics, while amplified objects are used to form percussive structures that form and deform rhythmic patterns; swelling into a mesh of feedback and airy dissonance.

MV Carbon: electric cello, magnetic tape, electronics, amplified objects.

Vanishing Incidents will be presented virtually and available for free on a variety of streaming platforms. Roulette’s theater is currently closed for public performances as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the safety measures that Roulette has put in place to keep staff, artists, and the public safe.

MV Carbon is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work encompasses live performance, sound, film, sculpture, and multi-media installation. Her work explores interchangeability, the human mechanism, perceptive states of consciousness, and biological feedback. She embraces sonic space, utilizing techniques such as tape delay, feedback, and re-amplification. Carbon forms dense orchestrations, applying extended techniques on electric cello, reel to reel tape machines, and amplified objects.Photo: AT Rossetti
