  • Is photography allowed at the 9/11 Memorial?
    Yes, visitors are allowed to take photographs anywhere within the 9/11 Memorial. When you take photos, please remember to respect other visitors, and remember the unique solemn nature of the memorial. All photography must be for personal use only; no professional photography is allowed. No photography of any kind is permitted in the security screening areas or other restricted areas.
  • Is cell phone use permitted at the 9/11 Memorial?
    Visitors can use their cell phones to make calls on the Memorial Plaza and inside the 9/11 Memorial Museum Store at Vesey. Cell phones must be silenced and not used for calls while visiting exhibition spaces in the Memorial Museum. Visitors using a phone for the museum's audio tour must use their personal headphones. Smartphone users can download a responsive "Explore 9/11" app that includes an audio tour, photos, and an interactive timeline.
