Westchester Emergency Communication Assoc. Field Day June 26th & 27th at Harbor Island Park Gazebo

Westchester Emergency Communication Association (WECA ) is an association of over 200 Amateur Radio Operators, licensed by the FCC and dedicated to providing radio communications services to Westchester County through the Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) program which is administered by the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services. We participate in this national communications exercise using a wide variety of radio and wireless equipment. We will be operating out of the gazebo at Harbor Island Park in Mamaroneck, NY from Saturday, June 26th at 2:00PM until Sunday, June 27th at 2:00PM. We hope you will stop by! Field Day is a picnic, a camp out, practice for emergencies, an informal contest and most of all, fun! During the Field Day activities, the public is encouraged to learn how to make radio contacts at the Get On The Air (GOTA) station. It is also an opportunity to educate the public about amateur radio and it is a social event!
